JAZZ SEMICONDUCTOR APPOINTS BRENT JENSEN VICE PRESIDENT
AND CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Veteran Semiconductor Industry Executive Bolsters
Management Team
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., July 7, 2005 -- Jazz Semiconductor,
an independent semiconductor wafer foundry, today announced the
appointment of Brent Jensen as its Vice President and Chief Financial
Officer (CFO). In this capacity, Jensen will be responsible for
leading all of the company's financial endeavors.
Mr. Jensen began his financial career in the semiconductor business
in the early eighties with National Semiconductor and has worked
in the industry for over 15 years. Prior to Jazz, he held the position
of CFO with a pharmaceutical company, ZARS, Inc. Preceding this,
Jensen spent 13 years with AMI Semiconductor in various financial
positions, most recently as senior vice president and CFO. As such,
he was responsible for the worldwide financial role of the company.
During Jensen's term, AMI Semiconductor successfully completed a
$600 million IPO in September 2003. Prior to AMI Semiconductor,
Jensen held the position of controller with SII MegaDiamond, Inc.
and was senior auditor with KPMG Peat Marwick, LLP. Jensen received
both his Master of Accounting degree and his bachelor's degree in
Accounting from Brigham Young University. He is a certified public
accountant.
According to Shu Li, Jazz Semiconductor president and chief executive
officer, "Jensen's long history in the semiconductor industry coupled
with his financial expertise is an ideal complement to our strong
management team. His appointment will aid in the development and
execution of our strategic initiatives moving forward."
